I am pleased to reach out to you from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – another home for me near the MPS Systems Asia branch office!

My first home is in the Philippines, where I was born and lived for most of my life. Filipinos are known for hospitality that is extended to foreigners and locals, in addition to of course family and friends. You can expect to be greeted with a warm smile should you ever visit.

Being a seasoned engineer for over 15 years, my travels have taken me throughout Asia-Pacific. And now, as Regional Service Engineer for MPS Systems Asia, I look forward to sharing my technical knowledge with printers throughout Asia and help keep MPS printing presses running.

Local service and support

I was brought onboard to provide pre- and post-installation technical service for MPS presses in the Asia-Pacific region, and support local service engineers of our large network of agents.

So, you’ll see me install your MPS press, and I’ll be there to train your operators. I’ll also be the voice you hear when you call for technical support, or see again in person if an on-site visit is necessary.

Being in the print industry for so long, I understand the importance of service, and that it doesn’t just mean showing up to fix a press. My goal is to form close relationships with customers – to be there for preventative maintenance to proactively avoid press downtime, or to provide technical consultations when a printer is thinking about investing in new technologies. And share a cup of coffee, too!

Hybrid technology leading the way

My background heavily includes knowledge of digital presses. So, I see hybrid printing presses as a great growth opportunity for Asia-Pacific printers.

Hybrid printing brings advantages of flexo printing that involve longer print runs with the option to switch to digital print jobs for shorter runs – or a combination of both. I’m happy to meet with you to explain more, and this whitepaper about hybrid technology is also very informative.

The MPS EF-SYMJET flexo press powered with a Domino digital N610i inkjet printer is gaining a lot of interest in Asia. And with Domino’s sales and service presence here in Asia, local support of this hybrid press is extremely reliable.

A growing team

Having worked with Tim Klappe in my previous role, it is a pleasure to join his team here in Malaysia. I’ve also had the pleasure getting to know Asia Sales Managers George Tan and Suwannee Tantisrisuk, also veterans in the printing industry.

Next month, another Regional Service Engineer will join the MPS Systems Asia so there will be two of us serving customers throughout Asia-Pacific. If you own an MPS press, you never have to worry about service. Stay tuned for the official announcement!

In the meantime, I hope to meet you soon and share true Filipino service quality with a smile.
